While custom coaching is the best of everything Tabula Rasa Racing has to offer, it may not fit the needs of everyone. Sometimes, all you need is help preparing for a single event or race. At Tabula Rasa Racing, we have a solution to fit your needs and budget.
We create custom training plans for running, swimming, cycling, triathlon, and hiking. We have options for individual plans or group plans if you want to train with friends.
At Tabula Rasa Racing, we take great care in managing athlete training load and pay special attention to the athlete's ability to absorb the fitness gains we are working so hard to achieve. For that reason, we limit our custom training plans to cover up to a set distance. Anything over that distance, it is recommended the athlete consider custom coaching to allow for a more hands on approach to training load management. Tabula Rasa Racing custom training plans are available for the following:
Note: We will create a custom training plan for a relay team for any of the sports listed above, with the exception of triathlon, as long as the athlete's planned distance is less than the limits described above. For triathlon, we will create a custom training plan for a Half Ironman-Distance (70.3) Relay team as long as there are no less than three (3) members of the team. There is a unique price for this option since this plan is effectively three distinct individual plans for the members of the relay team (25% savings).

Training plans from Tabula Rasa Racing are not template training plans. These plans are built based on an extensive consultation with Coach Justin to discuss things like athletic experience relevant to the sport of interest, previous injuries/limitations, goals for the race/event, and how does training fit into your “real life”. Coach Justin uses this information to map out a custom training plan, in its entirety, for the athlete or group to follow.
The duration of the plan is determined by information from the consultation and any other limiting factors. After the consultation is completed, Coach Justin will reach out via email with an expected date of when the plan will be available. The time it takes to develop the plan is subject to several unknowns such as the complexity and duration of the plan. For this reason, it is highly recommended you start the process sooner rather than later to ensure there is enough time to develop the plan and you get the desired plan duration.
Plans are disseminated using the Training Peaks platform in its entirety.
